If you choose to defer your payment please read the following carefully:
1. The form MUST be completed and received by May 5th, 2020 to put your May payment on hold. Any forms received after that date will not be processed until the June payment and your May payment will still be processed.
2. Your total balance will remain unchanged and any deferred payments will be added to the end of your contact (i.e. your contract will be extended by "x" number of months.)
3. You may wish to check with your insurance company before changing your payment plan if this will in any way affect your ability to be reimbursed for your orthodontic claim.
4. Payments will resume in the month that our office reopens for all payments put on HOLD even though it may take us some time to get everyone back in for their next appointment. (If you have extenuating circumstances requiring additional financial relief beyond that time please reach out to our office directly to speak to one of our financial coordinators)
By clicking submit, I acknowledge that a request will be submitted for payment deferral and payments will resume in the month we re-open regardless of when you or your child’s next appointment is scheduled.
Most problems in orthodontics are of the type involving a loose brace or poking wire. Many of these do not require immediate care, though we are always available to see you during our regular business hours. In any case, you should contact our office so we can schedule an appointment to fix the problem.
If you have a more serious problem and have trouble reaching our office on either a holiday or off hours, you can contact your family dentist or the Dental Emergency Services at (416) 485-7121 located at 1650 Yonge Street.
The following are helpful hints to remedy some of the problems you may encounter until you can be seen in our office:
If you are a patient of Dr. Shapiro or Dr. Singer and feel there is a true emergency that requires you to be seen before the next business day, please email (please substitute the ‘(AT)’ for ‘@’): afterhours(AT)tauntonorthodontics.com and be sure to leave a detailed email message including the patients first and last name, your name, the specific nature of the problem and a phone number where you can be reached.
Alternatively, you can use our online chat feature by visiting our website home page and click the lower right green icon to begin a chat. To help solve your immediate problem, we will also require as much information about you, the patient name and nature of the problem. Please attach photos of the problem area to either the email or chat feature.
